Legendary Nigerian singer Charles Oputa, Charly Boy or Area Fada, has queried Nigerian pastors.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, he questioned why, since the protest, these pastors, who he referred to as ‘god of men’s have been silent. He urged netizens to explain to him their silence.

Unlike Charly Boy, Iyabo Ojo had called out the President, noting how his silence is deafening and disheartening. Iyabo stated that the country needed the president to address the nation, listen to their grievances and offer hope. She questioned if democracy isn’t about the people and for the people anymore if they can’t express their concerns and be heard.
She noted how if the president had addressed them, it would have prevented the hijacking of protests, vandalism and chaos. She added that the reality on the ground contradicts the government’s claims of progress they’re witnessing.
In other news, Charly Boy posed an important question to Nigerians on the essence of religion. The outspoken singer and activist, via his Instagram page, questioned the essence of religion as he reacted to a viral video of clergyman Pastor E.A Adeboye demanding offerings ranging from N100 million to N1 billion.
Calling religion a business, he stated that most clergymen, whom he considers as God of men, are into Jesus’ enterprise.
