Famous Nigerian content creator Sydney Talker has shaded self-acclaimed activist Very Dark Black Man and others as he warns content creators against losing their space.
In an extensive note written on his Instagram story, Sydney Talker enlightened upcoming content creators about owning the social media space, which, according to him, belongs to them, especially Instagram.
Talker noted that bloggers and activists are already taking over their space, and without a doubt, VDM is one of Nigeria’s most talked about activists.
He also spoke about how veteran skit makers are gradually pulling out to venture into other aspects of their careers, such as filmmaking, music, and others. He called on the younger ones to take over and stay relevant in the industry.
Sydney Talker called on the old content creators to continue exploring the content creating field to retain the space for the upcoming talented ones.
“Content creators wake up!!!
Especially the new ones or the aspiring ones. The content creation industry is dying! We need the new ones or the aspiring ones to do more because this content creation industry is in your hands now!
The old ones have tried. Most of us are now into making movies, music or other businesses because we are trying to bag bigger things. Please don’t blame us. When you get here you’ll understand. But for now y’all new and aspiring creators NEED TO DO MORE!!!
The content creation industry is losing relevance because the new and aspiring ones ain’t gaining relevance. Y’all need to wake up young lads. First y’all need to understand that this social media space blongs to us. We need to own it. We are losing our space (Instagram) to bloggers and activitst. Come on guys! Y’all need to step up.
