Comedians and reality star Dee One recently gave his hot take about Peter and Paul Okoye’s ongoing beef, and it was an interesting view.
Dee One started off by saying that the crux of their beef was situate in the fact that they aren’t making as much money as they used to before.
He went on to advise them that beefing is for younger artists, and not them that have been in the music industry for decades.
Going forward, Dee One said that Peter and Paul Okoye’s time in the music industry had come to an end, which according to him is a normal occurrence.
He also said that at the moment, it would only be right for Nigerians to use Peter and Paul Okoye’s music for throwbacks, and they shouldn’t be fighting for spots in the music industry with young artists like Rema.
In consideration of whether Peter and Paul Okoye will still do well as a group if they reconcile, Dee One said that it won’t be possibly because they wouldn’t even be able to sell out stadiums like they used to in the past because no one cares about them anymore.
Dee One also said that Peter and Paul Okoye should’ve directed their energy towards posting young artists, instead of fighting each other, since they’re legends.
Recall that Peter Okoye recently released a tell-it-all letter, citing all the grievances he had against his brother Paul Okoye.
This letter is coming months after their reconciliation that followed years of the music duo being apart.
As far back as the early 2000’s, Peter and Paul Okoye were formidable forces under their Psquare band name.
They released hit songs like Alingo, Oga Police, Do me I do You, Ifunanya, and host of other songs that topped charts in the music industry.
The group fell off over monetary issues, and a whole lot of issues that led them to sell their famous twin mansion in Lagos.
