Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2face or 2baba, has reacted to former US president Donald Trump’s assassination attempt.
On Saturday, the billionaire businessman who is running for the Presidential election was almost assassinated at his Presidential rally in Pennsylvania. He was shot on one of his head while delivering his speech at his rally after gunshots were fired towards him. His Secret Service officials shouted at him to get down as they rushed the stage and surrounded him. He was quickly escorted into a vehicle walking off the stage with agents on all sides.
Weighing into it, 2baba stated that the assassination attempt was a pure package. He stated that Hollywood actor Jessie Smallet is still learning work beside Trump. He added that Hollywood is still learning work.
“Jessie Smallet dey learn. I go shock if I wrong but this shit na pure package.
All Black everything.
Hollywood dey learn”.
Similarly, celebrity stylist and designer Toyin Lawani, via a blog’s comment section, believed the incident was staged as she awarded the former US president the best actor of the year.
Toyin and 2baba weren’t the only ones who felt the assassination attempt was fake, as many agreed and concurred with them.
Last year, 2baba faced criticism from Nigerians after he commented on the news of the FBI’s plans to release documents related to President Tinubu. The controversy began when Charly Boy, expressed urged Nigerians and his friends in the US, including the CIA and FBI, to confirm the news, emphasising that it’s not over until it’s over.
In response, 2face commented, suggesting that before releasing documents related to President Tinubu, the FBI should also release documents involving various other figures, including former US presidents and international leaders. He implied that Nigeria should handle its issues independently. The singer’s response triggered a strong reaction from netizens who questioned his stance and reminded him of his own marital controversies.
