Media personality, Daddy Freeze, has defended Talent manager and entertainment executive Paulo Okoye following his latest interview.
Kemi Filani reported that Paulo, in an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, named Burna Boy the richest artiste in Nigeria. According to him, the Grammy award-winning singer earned between $80 and $70 million in 2023 alone. He noted how the music star doesn’t have many people working for him. The lover of Iyabo Ojo further explained that Burna has his mother, sister, mother’s brother and a few people who work for him. He noted how the singer doesn’t brag about his earnings or net worth.
Speaking about Rema, he stated that the Mavins singer overprices himself.
His statement was met with mixed reactions from netizens who slammed him over his statement.
Defending him, Daddy Freeze reminded them that Paulo got Davido, Kizz Daniel and Tiwa Sãvage their first endorsement. He further noted how the talent manager owns Nigeria’s biggest indigenous concert, One Africa. Addressing Nigerians, he told them to give him his flowers when it comes to the entertainment industry.
“Before you cast any doubts, remember @pauloo2104 got Davido, kiss Daniel and Tiwa savãge their first endorsement deals. Also, he currently owns and runs Nigeria’s biggest indigenous concert, One Africa. So when it comes to entertainment, give him his flowers.”
Activist Very Dark Man had reacted to Paulo’s statement, taking a swipe at both Paulo and Daddy Freeze, who he described as ladies gossiping as he expressed how cute they were.
A few weeks back, during his brawl with Very Dark Man, Paulo Okoye had shared a throwback video of him and Davido as he recounted how he fought for a job for the singer after a company turned him down 6 times. Paulo noted how he wasn’t born with a golden spoon as he credited his success to hard work.
